IN BLACK OLD ENGLISH GAME BANTAMS When I got back into this fancy five years ago it was with the idea of helping local 4-H kids get a start in showing fine poultry. I ordered good breeders, built coops, and hatched out and gave away about 200 birds the first year. The results with the kids weren't all that great. Black Breasted Old English Bantams are one of the more beautiful varieties of the breed. They were also one of the first Old English varieties admitted to the standard as game bantams. The head, hackle and saddle plumage of the male is a beautiful and deep red-orange. The Old English Game bantam is a delightful breed of chicken. It is a small, pugnacious, and charming little chicken that embodies the idea of pride and chickenhood. Their larger counterparts are the direct descendants of the jungle fowl, but the bantams are the end result of careful selective breeding of various backyard bantams. Body type: Old English Game bantams have long legs and are fairly muscular with a full breast. Download ms sql 2008 r2. With tight feathers and a hardy build, these chickens are able to weather all but the coldest winters. All roosters have striking plumage and long tail feathers. Hens look similar to the Roosters but lack the large tail feathers and are less colorful.
